
Blog is short for "web log" is a web application form which resembles the writings (published as posts) in a public web page. These writings are often published in reverse order (most recent content first and then followed the content is longer), although not always so. Web sites like this can usually be accessed by all Internet users according to topic and purpose of the user's blog.
Media blog was first popularized by Blogger.com, owned by PyraLab before being acquired by Google.Com PyraLab in late 2002. Since then, there are many applications that are open source, which is applied to the development of the authors of these blogs.
Blogs have a very diverse functions, from a diary, media publicity in a political campaign, to media programs and corporations. Some blogs are managed by a single author, while others by several authors. Many weblogs also have the facility of interaction with the visitors, such as using the guest book and comments field that could allow its visitors to leave comments on the contents of the published writings, however, there is also the opposite or non-interactive.
These web sites are interconnected thanks to the weblog, or in total is a collection of weblogs are often referred to as the blogosphere. When a set of wave activity, information and opinions are very large recurring to some very controversial subjects or occur in the blogosphere, it is often referred to as blogstorm or blog storm.
